Who qualifies for Angel Food?
There are no qualifications, minimums, income restrictions, or applications.
Everyone is encouraged to participate. Angel Food Ministries is a way to help stretch your food buying dollars each month.
Where does the food come from?
Our food is “restaurant grade” meats, frozen vegetables, fruits, dairy products, etc. which we acquire through our involvement with only the best producers/vendors of high quality, “name brand” foods. Never “seconds” or “day old” type products are involved.
Can we receive more than one unit or special?
Yes, you can order as many regular units or specials as you would like. Angel Food Ministries has removed the purchase requirements for specials. You can now order any menu item, including specials, on an order.
Why do we offer this ministry?
In 1994, Pastors Joe and Linda Wingo found their hearts going out to the families of many of the local families in Monroe, GA, affected by the recent industrial plant closings. Now, Angel Food feeds over 500,000 families a month in 35 states. Praise the Lord for his faithfulness!
We are facing many of the same challenges in our local economy and found Angel Food to be a way to offer assistance and hope to the families affected by layoffs or other economic challenges.
This is new to me. Can I see a sample of the items?
Yes! We often have many items from the previous month's menu on hand in the church. You can come in during our normal office hours and ask to see a menu sample.
I want to Order Online and pay by Credit/Debit card. How do I go about doing this?
At the bottom of each page is a direct link to Angel Order Page for Memorial UMC. Click the link, then click the Order Online Button half way down the page, click next complete the order information on the following pages and once finished print your order confirmation. Your order is now placed and will be included with our order for the month. We will call you the week of delivery to remind you of your order. The Order is done on Angel Food's secure server and your payment information is protected. A small processing fee is added to the order.
